BP has awarded Technip Energies the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract for the H2Teesside project in North East England. H2Teesside is expected to be one of the UK’s largest low-carbon hydrogen production facilities, fully integrated with carbon capture technology. The project aims for 1.2 GW of low-carbon hydrogen production, which would equate to more than 10% of the UK’s 2030 hydrogen production target.
Also on the energy transformation front, Technip Energies has partnered with SUEZ on the pre-FEED for the energy-from-waste facility at Wilton. Another BCECA member, Fluor, is supporting the pre-FEED for SUEZ’s existing energy-from-waste facility on Teesside. Both plants sit within the proposed East Coast Cluster and would plug directly into the pipeline, which received consent earlier this year.
