Our strategy for growth
Industry is increasingly aware of the value of collaborative forums as business enablers. BCECA provides a platform for its members to share insight and intelligence that improves the offer and competitiveness of the UK contracting industry and those who depend on its continued prosperity and progress.
Our member companies operate in a multidisciplinary, multinational environment where collaboration with and leadership of diverse global teams is essential. BCECA continues to lead, shape and drive discussion to pursue a sustainable and profitable future for the engineering contracting sector.
BCECA delivers value and opportunity for the collective benefit of engineering contracting and consulting companies and their suppliers
Our strategy, Towards 2026, is endorsed by BCECA's Council, comprising representatives from many of the world's biggest contracting companies. It addresses three broad themes.
- We will lead, shape and drive discussion on relevant issues, including the energy transformation and the wide range of technical, economic, political and legal challenges it presents.
- We will support and enable the skills pipeline to secure the contracting skills needed to meet emerging engineering challenges, including transitioning to a low-carbon economy.
- We will build on our strong track record of industry engagement with the process and energy industries by identifying opportunities and threats facing the engineering contracting community and bringing forward ideas and policies for sustainable growth.
BCECA will evolve, change, and grow to become a niche, internationally recognised trade association representing the UK operations of the world's leading engineering contractors, consultancies, and their suppliers. Towards 2026 sets the direction for the Association's Diamond Jubilee celebration in 2026 and beyond.
