Conference 2023

BCECA's third virtual annual conference, 'The energy transformation challenge – making it a reality', took place on Wednesday, 4 October 2023. The conversation built on the themes explored in previous events and provided a useful steer for BCECA's work programmes and stakeholder engagement in 2024.

Participants heard two thought-provoking keynotes that provided authoritative overviews of the policy landscape and the skills supply needed to facilitate energy transformation. The meeting attracted online participants from 50 organisations spanning the contracting and construction industries and their clients and supply chain partners. Post-event feedback was positive, with nine out of ten participants expressing satisfaction with the conference arrangements and 61% of delegates indicated a preference for the event to continue in its established online format.

Here is a full conference recording with direct playback of individual sessions and speakers. You can also view the conference report, which was presented at a reception in the House of Lords on 21 November 2023.
